Please I want to know if an iPhone 15 series battery can be boosted? Cos I bought the fairly used iPhone 12 Pro Max recent with 89% battery health 4month ago now my battery health is 75% that shows the battery as been booted, so am thinking of upgrading to a fairly used 15 series that’s why asking?

Stick with buying a refurbished phone from Apple if you are looking for a phone at a slightly less cost. These will have a brand new genuine Apple battery.

The risks of buying from a third party are too high. Not only could the device had service from an unauthorized provider where a non-genuine battery has been installed, you may also face far more problems as detailed here:

It may have been battery boosted, depending on where you purchased it from, but likely it is just aging. The iPhone 12 Pro Max was discontinued in September of 2021, so they all should have been overdue for a replacement by now.
If you choose a new iPhone, I suggest the Apple Refurbished Store which comes with a new battery.
You could call it a "boost", but it is not real. The software simply displays an incorrect reading......not the actual condition of the battery.
In other words, a "boost" does not "boost" the performance of the battery.

If you are looking to avoid problems buy the refurbished phone from Apple, otherwise you are taking a huge risk for many reasons outlined in the link provided earlier. Seen too many people who went down that road and ended up with a device that is not usable and no means to get their money back.

If that used phone has had its battery replaced by an unauthorised tech, Apply will refuse to replace the battery, or do any other work on it.
