Stop light in way of closing ads

With iOS 26 on my iPad Pro Max 13, the stoplight up in the corner, left-hand side is in the way of the X that I need to hit to close ads to get back to my app.

I find that shutting down the phone on the general menu, and then after restarting, turning off wifi and turning on Airport is the only way to keep them from coming back. Ads, ads and more ads Has anyone else found that once you turn on your iPad ads are a constant source of frustration whether using browser , games, searching, doing anything and they are increasing. I am so sick of them seriously thinking of quitting this ad intense ipad. belinda

The App may require update by its Developer to fully support iPadOS 16.

As a workaround, perhaps the App offers an in-App purchase that suppresses the unwanted Advertisements.
