Can the blue color of the iOS/iPadOS 26 keyboard’s enter/return key be changed?

Can the color of this key be changed? It’s a piercing shade that nearly gives me an instant headache. Sadly, I think this particular shade has gained in popularity lately. I’ve seen its use in a lot of other apps and platforms ramp up lately. Just curious.

I have only noticed the enter/return key being highlighted in blue when using a Search dialogue. Does this correlate with your own observation, or do you see this behaviour elsewhere?

The onscreen keyboard key-colours are not configurable via settings. Consider switching your iPad screen appearance from Dark to Light - as this will change the relative contrast, which my help reduce your visual discomfort:

Settings > Display & Brightness > [Appearance] -set to Light

As for editing the keyboard colours, Apple invite submission of comments and feature requests via its Product Feedback portal. For iPad and iPadOS:

I thought that might be the case. Thanks for responding.

I can confirm that the coloring of the enter/return key, for the most part, only activates for search fields (generally doesn’t activate for common text fields).

I thought the former color used was easier on the eyes. This new blue reminds me of those blue, LED Christmas lights. If there’s a color that could represent a single out-of-key note in a song, this is it! Lol. Of course, colors are different for everyone. I got to enjoy a pleasant color for a while. It can be someone else’s turn now.
