iPhone 16 Selfie Cam Blurry and Grainy
I bought an iPhone 16 a week ago, but I’m really disappointed. The front camera makes everything except my face look grainy and blurry. The background looks like an AI-generated photo—blurry and low quality. I’m sure this isn’t a sensor issue; it’s clearly a software problem. I’ve tried every setting, even reset the phone, but nothing fixed it. When I manually focus on anything other than my face, the blurriness and noise disappear. I also tried another camera app called Dazz Cam, and the issue doesn’t exist there at all—anyone can test it. I can’t share photos because my face is visible in them, but please fix this problem and release a software update.
I don’t know what kind of processing Apple applies to photos, but it needs to stop. It’s really bad. The camera can’t capture photos as they actually are — colors change, and the background becomes blurry and grainy. This needs to be addressed. Users should have the option to turn this processing feature on or off.
The iPhone 16 takes worse photos than my old Galaxy S20 FE, especially in low light. Don’t give me nonsense suggestions like “remove your screen protector” or “reset your settings.” The issue is clearly software-related.
