Huge system data iPhone 12 mini

I have an iPhone 12 mini with 64gb data. My system data is nearly 42gb. I’ve tried restarting, offloading apps, deleting apps but now I have so little usable space. How can I reduce the size of the system data which is taking up two thirds of my phones storage?

Backup your device to iCLoud, erase your device, restore your device from backup. That is the only way to reduce the system data size.

I agree with Jeff. And if you have a computer, it's best to restore via that. It typically is more effective and installs a fresh copy of the iOS.
