iPhone 13 display "GONE" after updating it to iOS 26!

I have been using iPhone 13 since a long time and my display or phone never got to any damage internally or physically. I purchased the phone when it was on iOS 17 then updated to 18 so it is total 3 years of use now. After the release of iOS 26 I updated it and after a few days guess what? my display turned green at first, then after locking the device and unlocking it, display was back. But after several days my display suddenly started to flicker continously and it didn't stopped. Eventually I had to replace the display fully.

Has anyone faced similar issues regarding display after the update?

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar. That is a hardware fault. It is unrelated to the iOS update. That's a coincidence.

This update I am gonna say is the most vulnerable update ever on Apple or iPhone history. Not only on iPhone 13, starting from iPhone 12 to the new 17 pro I have found many complains about display issue for the iOS 26 update.

Who replaced the screen on your phone? Coming to the conclusion that iOS 26 was the root cause of your screen issue is the wrong conclusion. Screens can fail any time and if iOS 26 caused the screen to fail, it would cause the screen to fail on all of the millions upon millions of iPhone 13's out there, but it certainly didn't.

It may be a regional issue but it is true that after the update on the phone, firstly older iPhones are performing very poor as compared to previous iOS 18 update. But after 26 release, in our country everyone is facing the same issue regarding display. Some displays are getting flickered, some are turning green, white or black. I agree that maybe in other region the problem is invisible but in our country it is a very big problem. Everyday minimum 10-20 people come to the service shop for the display issue in our country.

Yes! I’m facing the same issue with my iPhone 13 too. After updating, my screen first showed a pink line, and later turned completely green with horizontal flickering lines. There’s no physical damage at all, yet Apple Support says the only solution is a ₹25,000 paid display replacement, which is really unfair since this clearly happened after the update.

Case ID: 1**********7 — hoping Apple acknowledges and fixes this under goodwill.

Oh, a "hardware fault" you say? And entirely "unrelated to the iOS update"?

That's a fascinating theory, and I must congratulate you on introducing the concept of the Synchronized Spontaneous Hardware Failure to the tech world.

In our country, we're currently witnessing an unprecedented cosmic alignment where 80-90% of iPhones—spanning models from the 12 all the way to the new 17 Pro—have decided to develop the exact same display defect simultaneously. It's a miracle of statistical improbability!

Clearly, the thousands of users reporting this issue immediately after the same software update are all just coincidentally suffering from bad luck on a national scale. It has absolutely nothing to do with a systemic problem that Apple needs to address.

I appreciate the "Genius Bar" suggestion, but I'm looking for a solution that addresses the pattern of failure, not just the individual symptom of a phone that just happened to break at the same minute as everyone else's.

Perhaps you could suggest a good national prayer circle to ward off future "coincidences."

I understand brother. I just wanted to share about the issue that has been going on in our country and maximum apple users have faced it. I just shared my experience and asked if it has happened to anyone else here. But instead you can see…

Your already weakened phone broke during the thermal and electrical stress of a complete change of OS.

Stuff happens. Minimum not maximum users.

If the Facebook group only offers a place to complain and commiserate and no remedy then I would stick to this forum's advice. Have it repaired or buy a new phone.

You seem to be confusing 'expert advice' with 'personal dismissal.' My goal was to report a widespread, verifiable issue to the community. Your goal appears to be gatekeeping and arguing against statistics. Since I now have my answer (that you have no constructive solution), there is nothing left for us to discuss.

You seem to be confusing correlation with causality.

And no one is "gatekeeping" anything. No one here can stop you from posting. "Gatekeeping" seems to be replacing "gaslighting" as a word that means "people not giving me the answers I want."

I have shown the evidence of my phone. If you want the evidence of the users then we have a facebook community group of apple users of our country called “Apple user community BD” join there so you can see it everything. I am not here to waste my time talking worthless. I wanted to share the issue that has been going on my region with maximum apple users.
