Image search using Google on iPhone

When I go to Google.com to search for images, I click on Camera icon at end of search field, I get message: Open this page in "App Store" ? Then there is active link for "Cancel" and "Open". When I tap on Open, it brings me to the app store, specifically Google. When I tap on "Cancel", I get the prompt message "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid", and an active link for OK.

The above steps work perfectly on a desktop, why not on an iPhone?

Don't I have any choice other than downloading Google.com?
