iPhone 17 Pro Max ESIM activation issues

I got my iPhone 17 Pro Max about 16 days ago. I switched from an a iPhone 15 Pro Max my carrier (Cox mobile) is having a really hard time Activating my 17 so I’ve been out of service for the past 16 days with no resolution in sight Cox seems to be blaming Apple one time and then Verizon another time (Verizon is my old carrier. Haven’t been with them for over a year) my 15 worked fine on Cox‘s network. It was only when they tried to switch it over Everything went crap was wondering if this is really an ongoing issue because they tell me I’m not the only one or is this Cox‘s problem and I need to look into switching carriers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

Sounds like bunk. If you've been with Cox for over a year, Verizon doesn't enter into the equation any more.

Unfortunately, using a discount MVNO means you get discount service and support.

Switching carriers now will likely mean additional headaches porting your number to a new carrier. IF you decide to go that route, I recommend not going with an MVNO. Stick with one of the big 3. Will it cost more? Yes. Are you likely to experience the kinds of problems you will with an MVNO? It's not as likely (not impossible, but not as likely).

Fixing ESIM Card Activation:

Your Carriers (Verizon and Cox) don't like each other's option, being adversaries/opponents in the same industry (Cellular service provider). However, your Carrier is the one who configures your device. So, you'll have keep keep going through your Carrier.

This Google Search Query Provides a Couple of Telling Tips: going from verizon to cox

As it Reads: "To switch from Verizon to Cox, do not cancel your Verizon account early; keep it open to transfer your number and receive a final bill." and "do not cancel your Verizon account early; keep it open to transfer your number and receive a final bill"
