Problems running two external dvd drives since update

i use two external DVD drives on my Mac. They have been working separately for quite some time. But since I upgraded to Sequoia 15.7.1, I have been having issues. It seems like they are conflicting with one another. When I use one app to burn a disc and direct it to do so on one drive, when it comes time to burn, it can’t seem to find the drive even tho it is still viewable. But then the other drive will be running a separate program on a different app just fine until all of the sudden, it stops and the drive disappears from finder. I’ve tried multiple things to fix this issue. I’ve tried different apps and different scenarios, but it all comes down to the fact that it worked fine until the upgrade. Any help would be appreciated.
