The MacBook, only 3 years old stopped completely. Charging not possible, checked charger with other MacBook, is okay, tried charging with other charger, no result, no visible damage, happened overnight with at evening still 8% battery life left, in the morning completely dead. No visible obstruction or dust in both ports.

The classic work around when your Mac goes so dead it can not do a regular charge cycle is to connect it to power, preferably with the MagSafe, and allow it to trickle-charge at least overnight.
The hope is that after a long trickle-charge, it might get enough power onboard to perk up and do regular things like start up and charge normally.
