Unstable tethered shooting with Canon cameras on macOS Sequoia 15.7.1

Running on:

MacBook Air M4 / 32 GB RAM (2 months old)

OSX 15.7.1 - unsure if going Tahoe ...

trying tether shoot ( i work as photographer and doing hundreds of tether shoots per year )

3 different Canon cameras: R5, R, and 5D mk4

USB connection that works properly with my pre - Sequoia / older macbook.

I know this is a well-known issue with a plethora of “miracle” solutions floating around,

but none seem to actually work for me -

Sometimes I can shoot a few frames tethered i

then the connection drops with different messages mostly saying that USB connection is lost

Occasionally it reconnects, but usually not.

In short: extremely flaky.

IOW - I'm actually considering switching to WINDOWS

( the problem is reported from early days of Sequoia and zero improvement from Apple AFAIK )

ALSO _ Hundreds of posting on Canon / Nikon / Fuji all cameras

seems to looose conections on mac since Sequoia .

( and Capture one and so on ) So the issue is with OSX not camera drivers.

Any chance that it can be fixed in most recent Tahoe ?
