Unable to open wallet app from control from lock screen

I have customised my lock screen controls and replaced the camera with a wallet. When I try using the wallet icon, it does not function. Is this expected behaviour? I have also tried unlocking the device and using the control to confirm if it requires device unlocking. I am using an iPhone 17 Pro running iOS 26.0.1 and am located in India. I am aware that the wallet app does not work here but I usually store all my tickets there. Please assist me.

Apple does not make a Wallet Widget. Did you make a shortcut to the app?

Sorry, it’s not in my Widget list. Please contact Apple Support in India for assistance. It may be something exclusive for Indian region.

No, the default wallet app for storing boarding passes and movie tickets.

I do not have any shortcuts. I have also checked with my other colleagues and they are facing the same issue.
