Upgraded my space but iPhone still full

If your iPhone is full, that is iPhone storage. You cannot upgrade iPhone storage, that is set when you purchase the device and cannot increase it. You say that you bought space, all you can do there is upgrade your iCloud storage. That does not increase the iPhone storage, that is space for syncing, and holding your backups. Two different types of storage. The only way to get a little more storage on the phone is to delete unwanted content on the phone.
