Downloaded movies or programs without hotspot or Wi-Fi

Once the movie is downloaded to the iPad, you will be able to play it without data. But you will not be able to download anything else until you connect to wi-fi or a Hotspot.

Without access to a network, you can't download anything. Why don't you have access to Wifi or a Hotspot? If the iPad is a cellular iPad with active cellular service, you can access a network, but download speeds will be limited and possibly limited unless you have an unlimited cellular plan.

It would have been nice if you had let us know you had the ability to download and all you wanted to know what if what you downloaded could be played. As ChrisJ4203 suggests, yes, you will be able to play content, which actually downloaded to your iPad.

Well, you will need an Internet connection for the iPad, so if you don't have access to Wi-Fi or a Hotspot, it is going to be quite a challenge to figure out how to get an Internet connection to the iPad.

Here, I assume that your iPad does not have cellular capability. Even if it did, it would take a long long time to download a movie......even if it might be possible......and you will using up a ton of data for the download.
