Remove old iphone from music app

Hi

I replaced my old iphone XR with a newer iPhone16e. I thought I followed all the correct procedures to remove my old xr from the music library.

I now find that the old XR phone icon has reappeared in the music app under the heading -"devices."

When I plug in my new iphone it now refuses to sync with my new 16e.

How can I remove my old xr phone, I have pressed the eject button numerous times but it refuses to eject. I returned the xr version to Apple for disposal.
