iPhone 17 camera style setting is preserved even though I have this turned off.

I got my iPhone 17 (base model, 512 GB, iOS 26.0.1) on Saturday and so far I am mostly loving it.

I do have one issue with the camera settings that's bugging me though. The only setting I've got 'preserved' is 'Live Photo'. However, if I take e.g. a black and white photo then close the camera app it doesn't default back to the 'standard' style, it stays black and white and I have to manually change the style back to standard next time I open the camera.

Is this happening to anybody else? Anyone know how to fix it?
