Lag in apps iOS 26.1 I recently upgraded my iPhone (now 17 Pro Max) and iPad (Pro 11’ M-5) and both are running iOS 26.1. I am noticing a lot of lag and freezing in apps on both devices. For instance I type a text and the app freezes; I have to close and reopen the app to finish the message. I am having similar experiences in other apps, too, where I am using the app and it freezes; again, I close the app and then reopen it and to continue using it. Is anyone else noticing this or am I just the lucky one? Thanks!

Brand new iPhone 14 feels laggy and choppy while changing apps and scrolling on Instagram. I recently bought the iPhone 14, latest ios update (17.1.2), over 70gb of storage available, 100% battery life and it feels choppy and laggy when changing apps and scrolling on instagram. And ideas why this may be happening?

why is ios 26 laggy and makes apps and games not work properly I am using various apps and games and I have come to realise every 30 seconds or so it will lag tremendously, making the buttons not work or the software to completely lock up and become unresponsive until I reset it. This has only started happening once I upgraded to iOS 26.

Did you already force restart your iPhone?

If this does not help, and the iPhone 17 Pro is a new model, let Apple Techs know about the issue by using the Feedback link, so that they can address that in an upcoming iOS update.
