IOS 26.0.1 Battery life drain, is Apple aware

Unfortunately both my wife and I spoke to a genius at the genius bar and took their advice to update to the latest update. It basically killed our iPhone and iPad battery life. Is Apple aware this is not some isolated problems and will there likely be a patch in the future?

This is a user to user only forum, not Apple Support. As users only, we are not privy to what Apple may or may not know. I can tell you that ALL of our devices running iOS 26.0.1 are not having any excessive battery drain. After you updated your iPhones, did you do a simple Forced Restart --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support (NOTE: After EVERY iOS update, I perform a Forced Restart and while other people may see battery drain issues, I never do.)

Also, on your phones, open Settings > Battery - and a list of everything using your battery will populate. If you're having battery drain, this will likely point to whatever the culprit may be. It could be an app which hasn't been properly optimized for the 26.01 update, for example.

Two people doesn't mean it's not "isolated." Like lobsterghost1, I'm not having any excessive battery drain.

Do you have good cell service in the areas you spend most of your time?
