How to disable the annoying grey bar on iPad Pro screen

When using the apple keyboard, whenever I am trying to type anything, in an email, or in this very post. I get an annoying grey bar that pops up and I can’t figure out how to turn it off.

I tried going into settings>Keyboard>Shortcuts and turning that off as suggested, but hit hasn’t changed anything.
