Receiving iCloud+ invite

I have two Gmail accounts.

I invited one account to my iCloud+ account and the invite goes to that Gmail as a text.

When I open the email it’s a text attachment instead of a link

How do I get the invite as an email so I can accept it with my other account?

This issue usually happens because of how Gmail or Apple Mail interprets the invite format, especially if the message is being sent as a plain text attachment rather than HTML. The invite must go to an email address that’s already an Apple ID. If Gmail isn’t one, the email arrives as a .text file because Apple can’t format it correctly for a non-Apple ID. Once you confirm the invited email is tied to an Apple ID, resend the invite — it should appear as a proper clickable email or a banner in Settings.
