Syncing iPad to mutliple computers:

This is silly. Apple allows me to authorize 5 different computers with my iTunes account; and yet I can only transfer media from one computer to my iPad? That's ridiculous!

Why then can I move content from any of my 5 computers to my 2nd Gen iPod Touch? All I do there is hook up the iPod and then drag & drop items from any of the 5 authorized iTunes libraries into my iPod Touch.

Apple reps if you're seeing this, please note that it's really cumbersome to transfer content between machines before syncing to the iPad. Please change this!

Everyone else - what are your best suggestions for a workaround? I saw someone mention "Dropbox" - is that an App?

_*Home Sharing*_ can be configured to automatically transfer newly purchased content between shared libraries.

you'd have to transfer existing content manually, though.

also, content added by yourself (e.g. CD rips) will have to be transferred manually. however, there are 3rd party apps such as TuneRanger, Syncopation or PowerTunes that help with keeping libraries on your Macs in sync.
