YouTube iOS 26 letter bug

Whenever I’m trying to comment in YouTube, The letters appear black even at dark mode. (Does not happen in light mode) And I’m looking for a fix or solution. (I’ve already restarted and updated the app)

When watching videos on YouTube or Netflix my screen just randomly turns black then slowly fades back to normal when I watch YouTube, Netflix or just any video on my iPad Pro, the screen randomly turns black then fades back to the video I was watching. It also does it multiple times while watching the same video. No the creator of the video did not intentionally edit it in to turn the screen black and fade back, every time it turns black and fades to normal its in a different point in the video. I have had this issue since 2 weeks ago. Is this an issue with my device and if it is how can I fix this?

Screen Brightness Fades During Dark Scenes in YouTube Videos I’m experiencing an issue on my iPhone while watching YouTube videos. Whenever a dark or black scene appears, the screen slightly fades, almost like the gamma level increases. This makes the dark scenes look washed out instead of deep black. I have already tried: • Turning off Auto-Brightness • Disabling True Tone and Night Shift • Checking HDR settings in YouTube • Adjusting Reduce White Point • Ensuring my iOS and YouTube app are up to date Despite these steps, the issue persists. It mostly happens in HDR videos and in YouTube’s dark mode. I suspect it might be related to OLED dimming or auto-contrast adjustments, but I’d love to hear if anyone else has faced this and found a fix. My device: • iPhone 14 Pro • iOS 18.3.1 Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

That would be a YouTube issue, not an iPhone issue if it happens inside the YouTube app. Apple doesn't own YouTube, Google does. So contact Google for help with their app.
