MacOS Tahoe crash during upgrade

Upgrading my M4 Max Mac Studio to Tahoe 26.01, installation fails with a crash during the final restart.

I sent the crash report to Apple.

Looking at the crash report it seems that the problem is in some sort of HID driver.

I worked around the problem by using a different keyboard and mouse plugged straight into the Mac Studio. (My setup is a bit complex, mouse, track ball and keyboard plugged into a USB hub in my monitor, just a single thunderbolt cable between the Mac and the monitor, it was working fine.)

I've isolated the trigger of the crash to the original mouse I was using.

If I plug this mouse in, Tahoe won't boot. (Was working fine with Sequoia)

The mouse is a FANTECH TANTO E.

Hopefully someone from Apple will look into this.

It's bit poor when a previously working device now causes a system crash.

Mac Studio, macOS 26.0
