Googleads on screen time

hi. I have a new iPhone 17. Since a couple of days im seeing “googleads.g.doubleclick.net” as one of the most used apps in the screen time section for the iPhone. I do not know where it comes from, I never installed it nor have any app open like it. Moreover, it’s consuming screen time even though the iPhone is locked out. Any ideas or solutions ?

  • Clear Safari history & website data on both devices (Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data). You mentioned this helps on Mac — it can also reset iPhone’s Screen Time entries.
  • Restart both devices after clearing history to force Screen Time to rebuild its logs.
  • Check iCloud Screen Time sync: Since you’re using “All Devices,” make sure Screen Time is syncing correctly (Settings → Screen Time → Share Across Devices). Sometimes toggling this off/on clears phantom entries.

My screen time is shared between my MacBook and iPhone and I'm seeing this same thing, but only under All Devices. Doesn't show up when I look at the individual devices' screen times. These are my only two devices. I think this has been an issue on Mac for a long time, but I can usually fix it by restarting or clearing browser history. Never seen it on iPhone before this googleads thing. Setting a screen time limit of 1 min per day for that specific website stops it from showing up but doesn't fix it completely – I deleted the limit and it came back.
