iPhone 14 Pro Max – White Screen After iOS 26.0.1 Update (Tried Everything)

Hi everyone,

After updating to iOS 26.0.1, my iPhone 14 Pro Max suddenly went completely white. I was watching a podcast on YouTube when it happened. I didn’t drop it, I didn’t spill water, nothing. The screen just turned white out of nowhere.

I’ve already tried :

Forced restart several times (no change)
DFU mode restore using Finder
Used iPhone Mirroring from my Mac to back up my data
Paid for extra iCloud storage to complete the backup

It’s been an exhausting day, and my phone still doesn’t work. I can hear sounds and vibrations when switching silent mode, so the device is clearly on, but the display remains blank.

Given the list of things that you have tried unsuccessfully, I would say that it is possible that the device has experienced a hardware issue. I suggest that you make a Genius Bar appointment at the nearest Apple Store to have the device examined. They will explain your options. Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple
