Transfer contacts from SIM to Iphone

Hi,

I have a problem with transferring contacts from my SIM card to my iPhone. My phone doesn't “see” them. When I go to contacts and click on “import contacts from SIM,” nothing happens. I don't even have the option to “select iCloud” as the transfer location.

I would add that the contacts appear on another phone.

Do you know what the problem is?

Is this "other phone" an iPhone? If so, Contacts are not on the SIM, they are synced to either iCloud or an email account. While some Android devices still save contacts on the SIM, you would have to insert that SIM into the iPhone to be able to get those contacts. If you have inserted that SIM and it is not "seeing" them as you indicate, then there are no contacts there. If you are moving from one iPhone to another, you need to determine how they were being synced and turn that feature back on.

Contacts are synced to either the cloud or mail account.

You can sign into said account on a web browser and go to contacts to see if it is there.

You can also enable contacts when you sign into said account on your phone.

There is no data stored on the sim card.

This “other phone” is an Android phone. When I insert the SIM card into another Android phone, it sees the contacts on the SIM card, but when I insert the card into an iPhone (13, 14 pro max, 17 pro max), it does not see these contacts.

I have a SIM card with a lot of contacts on it, and I can't transfer them to an iPhone, but I can transfer them to an Android phone.
