Swiping between open pages not working on older MacBook Pro

I have an older model MacBook Pro and it has stopped allowing me to swipe with fingers on the mouse pad to move between pages. I have I somehow turned something off on my laptop?

Thank you - I looked up how to find the track pad in Preferences. Found that I was trying to swipe between pages with 2 or 3 fingers - I needed to use 4 fingers. It works great.

look at your Trackpad settings and make some changes to compare your results.
