Closing out an App from using

How do u close out an app after u finish with it. This is for the IPhone 17 Pro Max

iPhone 17 Pro Max, iOS 26

You can swipe up from the bottom of your screen and let go around halfway once they are shrunk, then swipe up on it. When complete, tap any blank space. But note a popular misconception is to swipe out of your apps when done to "save battery or resources". This isn't necessarily true and iOS puts non-open apps in a suspended state until it is reopened. If you close out of it, it has to reload and relaunch it, which will drain more battery.
