New issue on iPhone 16 since update to 26.1: Screen background flashes purple when closing an app, just after swiping 'up' as the app slides off the screen. The background turns so briefly purple that I can't get an image of it. Nothing else in my wallpaper or other color selections is purple. (I'm not a fan of purple.) Not a big issue as long as nothing else is happening; just a curious one.

I’m on iPhone 16 Pro and had the same purple flash issue right after updating to iOS 26.1. The flash would appear for a split second when swiping up to close an app.
What solved it for me was disabling Reduce Transparency:
Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size → Reduce Transparency → Turn OFF
After turning that off, the purple flash stopped completely.
Seems like 26.1 may have a visual rendering bug when Reduce Transparency is enabled.

Report this Bug Fix to Apple:
Do your Part: These are just user-to-user forms. Apple barely reads the forums as it is on their own time and will. Apple will know nothing of this concern, if you do not spread the word to them. So, report it to Apple. They wont get back to you directly, but the more they hear about this, the more likely they will look into, knowing what is going on. They will know knowing of this fix, if you don't report it to them.
I can’t duplicate the problem on my iPhone 16, but why are you decreasing battery life and slowing down your device by killing apps? None of the apps in the app switcher are running; they aren’t even apps, the app switcher just contains pointers to apps→Why you shouldn't close "background" apps | Communities

Your iPhone 12 hardware appears to be rather sick, time to upgrade.
Yes, me too. It’s a little annoying, feels like a glitch and it probably is. What I’ve also noticed is that when you’re choosing apps from a group folder, the background goes all black as and is not translucent at all.
