Iphone 14. Changed her google password in Gmail app. In Apple Mail, she deleted the old google acct, added new but showing inactive.

To better explain, My friend owns an Iphone 14 changed her Google password. On her Apple Mail, her Gmail account said Server Error. She had been trying to change the Google password in Mail, but it was only allowing delete the old google account, and she followed the steps to add google again as a new account with the username and the new password. While Google appeared to have her login properly once she's added, the contacts and mail services show the Google Status as inactive.

She did go to Settings>Contacts: It showed Google as inactive, despite the toggle showing enabled.

When she was prompted to login to Google again (multiple times), she got through Googles 2FA confirmation process, but she's had no success to get contacts or mail to resync back up with her phone.

I've tried to investigate this on my phone, but haven't found clear answers on where the disconnect is happening.
