Is there a difference in support coverage between buying my iPhone at an Apple Store vs T-Mobile store?

First I have to get this off my chest: six years ago, I switched to Android. This was mainly because I'm my mom's tech support, and needed some Android experience. Now I'm returning to iPhone. I won't bore you with everything I hated about Android, but I'm glad to return to iOS.

Anyway...

When I purchased iPhones from Apple Stores (roughly 2008 - 2016) I enjoyed the in-store support and care. I now live in an area where the local Apple Store isn'r nearby, but T-Mobile has several stores in my area. Before I consider purchasing my iPhone from a local TM store, will I still get the same AppleCare support? Or is there something I will need to add to my T-Mobile purchase, or should I instead plan a trip to the Apple Store?

I just want to be prepared and know my options before I risk missing out on AppleCare support.

Enjoy!

The simple answer is yes, if you buy an iPhone from an Authorized Apple Seller, which includes T-Mobile, you will still get AppleCare, the one year warranty from Apple. You can also purchase AppleCare+ from Apple, which adds additional warranty support. If you don't have an Apple Store near you, you may be closer to a BestBuy store? BestBuy is an Apple Authorized Service Provider.

The one advantage I can think of to buying directly from the Apple Store rather than from a carrier is that Apple doesn't try to upsell you. The folks there are not on commission. They don't need to sell you $150-$200 in accessories to meet their daily quota. They won't mess with your phone plan. They will sell you a phone and, if you want, help you set it up. And that's it. If you want accessories, they will help you with that, but without any pressure.
