On both my iPhone SE and iPad 10, when powering up, the keypad for entering the password on the lock screen has blank circles instead of numbers in some of the locations. This did not happen with iOS 26.0.1 but started immediately after updating to 26.1.
I have reported this bug to Apple via feedback, but wonder if anyone here has the same issue or has found a fix.

I’m seeing the same on my end with iOS 26.1. I had changed Settings > Display & Brightness > Liquid Glass to Tinted. This makes the keypad almost invisible. Returning that setting to Clear corrects the issue.

Thanks, but it didn't work for me. However, changing to "Dark" appearance does fix it. Too bad I don't like how Dark looks.
EDIT: So weird. Changing to Dark, then back to Light also seems to fix it, but only temporarily.
My Lock Screen wallpaper is on the bright side. Try a slightly darker wallpaper to see if it helps.
UPDATE: The only thing that works is to let the device (iPhone or iPad) sit after a cold start for at least five minutes. After that, the number pad appears the way it should and I can log in. Of course I still have the irritating dialing suggestions when I use the phone keypad. They block most of the top row of numbers. iOS 26 is a disaster.
I’ve been using Dark Mode since it was introduced years ago and have never experienced any issues.

As I said above, I already reported this via Feedback. Also, it is not a question of numbers being hard to see. Instead entire rows of numbers are blank white circles with nothing inside them. Adjacent rows have normal looking black numbers in the circles.
