ios 26 mail account password change?

I would change one part of the suggestion, should you need to do this in the future. Yes, change the password on whatever third-party web page you need to. Then, go to your iPhone, delete the account, and re-add it with the new password. It almost always works better than trying to change just the password.

Delete the account and add it back. When you do, you'll be prompted for a password. Use the new one.

Go to the 3rd party webpage where you set the email up and change it there and once back in iOS it will then ask you to change it on the iPhone when you check for email.

Thanks! Deleting the accounts and adding them back worked, but what a way to run a railroad.

It finally did in the iPhone mail app but took at least 10 minutes before it asked for a new password.
