Back Camera and Flashlight still Not Working even After iOS 18.7.2 Update on iPhone SE 2020

Hi everyone,

After updating my iPhone SE 2020 to iOS 18.1.1, my back camera and flashlight have completely stopped working.

I then updated to iOS 18.7.2, but unfortunately, the bug is still not fixed, and troubleshooting hasn’t helped.

The rear camera sometimes works briefly after resetting (+ - lock button) the phone, but the second time I open the camera app, the image freezes and then the screen goes black.

This shows that my camera and flash is still works properly.

Did you try to set the iPhone back to factory setting without using the latest backup and then test the camera again?

If the camera still does not work after that, the issue is hardware related.

Has the battery of your iPhone ever been replaced by Apple, or have any parts of the hardware been changed in the past?

Did you try to force restart your iPhone after the latest update?

In case this does not bring the function of the default Camera app back, set your iPhone back to factory settings, which will download and install a new iOS version. After that test the Camera app.

I’m having the same problem after updating except it only happens in the iOS application, WhatsApp, instagram and all other 3rd party apps the camera and flash/light works.
