Apple Account to purchase Apple iPhone

I traded in a couple of devices so that I would have a credit to apply toward my new iPhone Air. When I purchased through Apple, there was no option to apply that money from my account. Can I still get that applied? I used the Apple Card installment plan so the balance is still there to apply the money from my account to reduce the cost.
