I got a call from number +1 (5********63 . She mentioned that she is calling me to verify my IPhone 17 pro max order. Is this number legitimate? Because I am afraid that it may be a SPAM .
can anyone tell me if this number is legitimate? My thoughts are that Apple never calls anyone

For what its worth, area code 512 is Austin TX, and there is a large Apple facility there. Of course, that does not mean that the phone number is legit.
Rather than calling back though, I would wait for another email with confirmation details of your order, since Apple normally communicates order details and updates in this manner.
Now, if you are saying that you did not order an iPhone 17, I think you already have your answer.

It was a scam call. Apple doesn't call customers to confirm orders. Did you order an iPhone?
Did you perhaps provide the address of a freight forwarder on the order? Apple will not ship Internationally, or if they suspect something out of the ordinary.
Otherwise, Apple has called me several times regarding a technical support question / follow up, but I was notified in advance via email to expect a call.
Yes, I did visit the Apple store and have ordered from Apple. But the rep over the phone did not ask for credit Card or any other info, instead she mentioned my order number and wanted me to verify if this was ordered by myself. If I do not verify the purchase, she said she will cancel my order.
I called the same number back and it said" Hi, Welcome to apple". Not sure if it's a Legit Apple!
Something I do not get is that Apple clearly mentioned that they do not call to a I phone buyer.
Did you attempt to order a device from a country other than where you live?
Were you attempting to have it delivered to a forwarding service to be shipped out of the US?
