How to restore the old macOS hand cursor after upgrading to Tahoe OS?

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently upgraded my Mac to the new macOS Tahoe, and while I like most of the update, I really don’t like the new hand cursor design. I much preferred the older “Mickey Mouse–style” hand cursor that was used in previous versions of macOS — it looked cleaner and more classic.

Is there any way to bring back the old hand cursor, either through system settings, accessibility options, or a third-party tweak?

No way for a user to alter the appearance of the ‘hand’ pointers. Only Apple can do that, and they decided to change it (which probably has implications for their willingness to change it back). Still, to have Apple consider your feedback, submit it here:

There are several security features in place that prevent changes to system files, and you wouldn’t want to (and can’t easily) disable those features. So the short answer is no.
