I already have a digital ID (driver’s license) in GA we’ve had them for a while, and the wallet won’t allow for adding the passport. Is there a way to have both my passport and drivers license in my wallet?

To me this implies it is one or the other: "If you don't have a U.S. passport to create your Digital ID, you can add an eligible driver's license to Apple Wallet. "

If your drivers license is Real ID compliant, there's no point in adding your passport too. The only thing the digital ID is good for is checking in with TSA at US airports for domestic flights.
If you're license is NOT Real ID compliant, delete it and add the passport instead.
