iPhone 14 system data rapidly filling storage

Please help me out with my system data issue. Starting about a month or two ago my iPhone 14 started having issues with the storage filling up. I would delete a lot of apps and downloads, but then it would fill up again in a week (I have 128GB of storage). Now it fills up EVERY DAY and it’s because of the system data. A week ago my system data was at 62GB and it has been filling up every day since! It’s at 75.5GB now! It is very annoying and stressful to have to delete apps every day for the system data; it prevents me from taking photos and it’s interfering with my app and how my phone works.

"Same here with an iPhone 16 / iOS 26.2, and reset doesn't really help, as it will grow back. Wondering if anyone find real solution yet."

Clearing System Data: How to Clear "System Data" in your iPhone's Storage: - Apple Community

I'm not having this issue with my iOS at the moment, but one of my Macs is, and I just cleared the System Data on it with Apple. So, there's something going around; likely a glitch in the software update where items are being configured slower. When caches are created, the System Data increases. The Operating System needs to get its apps ready for things so that they can open faster and operate more efficiently. But, with lagging, System Data is not being taken care of fast enough. So, report this to Apple:

"iPhone 14 system data rapidly filling storage: I backed up everything to iCloud then wiped my phone then signed in again and it’s working well now! The system data is no longer taking up that absurd amount of storage space."

Excellent job troubleshooting this!

For anyone out there wanting to fix this, wiping an iPhone without first backing up you data is not a wise decision. So, do as instructed by the OP and back this up to iCloud, first: How to back up your iPhone or iPad with iCloud - Apple Support
