Out of the blue this afternoon, the default font in Apple Mail switched to Helvetica Condensed. I can select a different font, but anything in the Helvetica family just jumps back to Helvetica Condensed. I restarted my MacBook Pro without success. MacBook Pro M3 Tahoe 26.1 (25B78).
Any idea what else I could try to resolve this?

Not sure if it will help but try a SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies
Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.
