That model number corresponds to a third generation, midnight black, 64GB iPhone SE.

Iphone 7, 8, SE2 and SE3 cases are interchangeable. Even Iphone 6S cases physically fit SE3 but the camera hole is too small.
I usually look for iphone 8 case online for my SE3 as they tend to be less expensive than ones intended for SE3
SE1 was a different shape altogether,
I'm confused, I bought 3 different cases for the 2nd/3rd gen phones and they did not fit. They were too small.
Maybe I wrote down the model number wrong. I'm trying to help a friend. What is the model number for the 1st gen. phone??
Thx, Steve

You likely purchased cases for the 1st Gen, which has a smaller screen size than the 2nd and 3rd Gen, 4" and 4.7" respectively. The model number for the 1st gen is either A1723, A1662, A1724.
Which might mean the ad was mis-read, or that the vendor, um, misrepresented the product as fitting SE 2nd or 3rd gen, or some other mix up.
Too much of the online advertising and commerce market is like that these days, unfortunately. Sketchy ads, sketchy products, and rubbish on offer, as online fraud is endemic.
If the seller is still around and if the product offer listed fitting 2nd or 3rd, request a replacement or a refund.

Something like: MP7T2LL/A
First Generation SE,Black, 32GB.
The first generation is significantly smaller than the second and 3rd generation which are the same size and shape.
