What are the benefits of offloading apps

What are the benefits of offloading apps. I accidentally enable it on my iPhone, how do I disable it? Now it does not show my storage anymore, how to disable it please asap? Also, it's a company phone I need to show the storage please.

It is an option in Settings > General > Storage. Activating it does not remove the Storage feature from your phone. If that has happened then likely it is something else such as ScreenTime doing that -->

If your Apple Account is grayed out in Settings, or you can't sign out - Apple Support

Tap your Settings app > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > scroll to Accounts > tap Allow Changes and turn on.

Offloading apps frees up the storage space that the app alone uses, but it does not delete data. Unless you have hundreds of apps you don't use, or have an unusually large app, I find it wouldn't really help much in increasing the memory available on my iPhone. Thanks I was hoping not to get them involved afraid they take it away from me, I accidentally clucked on enable. Is there any way to turn it off, at least?

It really does no harm, it waits for you to not use an app for a certain time then removes the app but leaves the data on the phone (which is why I don't use it, the space saving is minimal)

If you cant turn auto offload off, just open every app in the phone and it will un-offload them.

You say this is a company phone and that you see a message about not being allowed. It is possible your company's IT department is "managing" the iPhone's use and settings. In that case only they can change the settings.

If this is indeed a device managed by the company then I suggest you approach the IT department about these issues. You are limited in your options in a way that only they can resolve.
