Bluetooth won’t connect and just keeps spinning

I just purchased an iPhone 17 pro max. They installed the latest update. I cannot pair anything with my Bluetooth except my watch and AirPods. I have done EVERYTHING such as hard reset, toggle on/off WiFi Bluetooth even went back to factory settings…. Still nothing

iPhone 14 Plus, iOS 26

Its a simple bluetooth speaker… I have my bluetooth speakers paired to my Old phone no problem.

I don't think you understand how Bluetooth pairing of 3rd party devices works. The fact your Apple Watch and AirPods are paired to your new phone proves Bluetooth is working on your phone. The fact the simple Bluetooth speaker is paired with another device doesn't mean it will automatically pair with your new iPhone. For ALL Bluetooth devices, there is a way to put them in Pairing mode. How you'd do that with whatever speaker you want paired with your new phone, we couldn't guess. But the owners manual for that speaker is sure to explain what button or sequence of buttons you need to press to put it in pairing mode. Once it is pairing mode, it will usually have a flashing light, and then you open Settings > Bluetooth on your iPhone and you'll see the speaker below the list of already paired devices. You tap the speaker and it will complete the pairing to your new iPhone. Until you do this, you won't be able to use the speaker with your new iPhone.

I didn’t have to do this with my old phone. Read the directions for one of the “good” speaker of which I have 3 pricey ones and there are no instructions on pairing. I have an inexpensive speaker in my jeep (radio doesn’t work). Again no issues with pairing.

If the "pricey" speaker doesn't include instructions on how to pair it with a new device, that would be very odd. Bluetooth devices simply don't auto-connect with any cell phone. What is the exact model of the "pricey" speaker? If it really is Bluetooth, it MUST have a process for it to pair with a new device. I get a new iPhone every year. And EVERY YEAR, I have to pair my Bluetooth devices to the new phone by putting them in pairing mode. AirPods are different as they're Apple and tied to your Apple Account, so they will auto-pair. But 3rd party devices will NEVER just auto pair. They must be paired by you to connect.
