Siri plays different alarm sound than selected on iOS

After ios 26.1 when I ask Siri to set an alarm, it plays a different one than the one that is currently selected.

iPhone 16e, iOS 26

This is (unfortunately) normal. It has been like this on the last several iOS versions, if not always. If you create an alarm manually, the specific tone you have chosen will be played - conversely, if you ask Siri to create an alarm, the default alarm sound is always used; Radial. This is because Siri creates a completely new alarm.


If you have an alarm set for, say, 12:00, and that alarm has a specific sound associated with it, then you need to ask Siri to activate THIS specific alarm, and the tone you have chosen will be played.
