How to switch student verification from UNIDAYS to SheerID for a new Apple ID during the transition?

Hi Apple community!

I am a student at an university and verified my enrollment initially through UNIDAYS on an Apple ID that one of my family members uses. Apple now uses SheerID to verify their accounts. I am now under my own Apple ID and want to verify my student status on this new Apple ID, but cannot.

I have contacted SheerID and they have told me to contact UNIDAYS. Apple support says the same thing. I have not gotten much help from UNIDAYS yet.

What can I do to access the student subscription of Apple Music? Is there any way to unassociate the old Apple ID from my student email?
