M4 Satechi adaptor and two Monitor issue

I have just received a new mac M4 (with less ports!) Using Satechi Thunderbolt adaptor and see my two monitors but only able to mirror. No way to move between monitors and separate tabs?

To connect two monitors to a Mac through a single hub or dock, the hub or dock needs to be a Thunderbolt one. Many of the Satechi products are not Thunderbolt products, but merely USB-C ones.

Some of the Satechi products depend on second-class workarounds (like DisplayLink and SiliconMotion) which require installation of special drivers. There may also be ones that depend on DisplayPort MST. Macs don't support MST. Typical symptoms of trying to use MST to connect two monitors are that the Mac only sees one monitor and that monitors appear to "mirror" each other (since the hub is feeding both copies of the same video signal).
