Safari Version 26.1 (19622.2.11.119.1) does not show files with type ".webarchiv".

Safari no longer supports opening .webarchive files.
This is expected behavior — not a bug in your system.
That's not correct. In the current version of Safari, the File menu contains an entry called "Save As," with the option "Format: Webarchive." If you can save in this format, it should also be possible to open it again.

What's strange is that Safari on my Mac won't open the webarchive even after I allow it to be "opened anyway", but my iPhone Safari app will open it right away.
