Problems with apple aux to lightning dongle

Hi,

im trying to use my headphones (beyerdynamic dt 990 pro, 250 ohm) with the Apple aux to Lightning dongle.

but everytime i connect the headphones to the phone, my Voice Control is activated. I have voice control disabled in the settings.

i also notice loud cracking and white noise.

Im running an iPhone 11 with ios 16.4.1 and the dongle is new.

Your headphones are high-impedance studio headphones (250 ohms), which the Apple Lightning audio dongle cannot properly drive. As a result:

The microphone channel may be falsely triggered → Voice Control activates
Audio distortion, white noise, and crackling occur
The dongle may misread the plug as a headset with controls

This is a hardware mismatch, not a software setting issue.
