macOS Calendar shows incorrect time after moving

Time zone issue? - MacOS Calendar.

We moved from California to Tucson, AZ and now my Mac is showing a 1 hour later MST time when something is added to the calendar. (See photo example). I entered 8:51 AM - but also get 9:51 AM MST.

The Mac's Preferences/Settings are as follows - (see pic)

This may have something to do with Daylight Savings Time - which is NOT used in AZ. I would prefer to just see the local times I enter however - not a different MST variation.

Mac Studio, macOS 14.7

Turn OFF Time Zone Support

This is the simplest and cleanest solution for Arizona residents.

On macOS:

  1. Open Calendar
  2. Go to Calendar → Settings
  3. Go to the Advanced tab
  4. Uncheck: “Turn on time zone support”

When Time Zone Support is OFF:

✔ The Calendar always uses your current system time zone only

✔ No more dual-time displays

✔ No more conversions from California time
