Sign in to your Apple Account on the web or in your device settings - Apple Support

You need to be signed into the Music app with your Apple Account.

Subscribe to Apple Music - Apple Support

Eg: says:

iPhone iPad, Android devices:

  1. Open the Apple Music app and tap Home.
  2. Tap the My Account button, your photo or initials.
  3. Sign in to your Apple Account.

Mac

  1. Open the Apple Music app.
  2. In the menu bar at the top of your screen, choose Account > Sign In.
  3. Sign in to your Apple Account.

PC

  1. Open the Apple Music app.
  2. At the bottom of the sidebar, click Sign In.
  3. Sign in to your Apple Account.

You also need a strong, working, internet connection. Check with your provider if you need help with that.

Apple Music would need to be available in your country or region: You can check if you need to:

See: Availability of Apple Media Services - Apple Support

Check there are no outages: Apple - Support - System Status (a green dot for Apple Music means it is ok)

See tips on how to: Add and download music from Apple Music - Apple Support

If you do not have a music subscription:

You can play any songs you've purchased from iTunes

You can import and play your own music from CD's etc.

You can access some live stations (like Apple Music1) on Apple Radio
